The client
Our client is one of Europe’s fastest-growing health and wellness beverage groups – a multi-brand house of functional drinks and protein products, present in 50+ markets across Europe, North America and Asia, with revenue in excess of SEK 10 billion a year.
The business was establishing its first manufacturing site in the United States – a new greenfield facility, built from the ground up, rather than an extension of an existing plant. With production due to start within a year, it needed a complete leadership team in place before the facility could go live: sourced, evaluated and hired to a tight deadline, without lowering the bar on candidate quality.
The Challenge
This was a genuinely narrow search. Greenfield manufacturing experience is a specific, scarce skill set, which ruled out large parts of the usual candidate pool at a stroke. To find people who could actually do the job, the team ran a full company- and location-mapping exercise: identifying US businesses that had recently been through comparable greenfield or brownfield builds, plus the client’s direct competitors with a similar product focus and structure, then headhunting the strongest candidates directly.
Managing expectations mattered just as much as sourcing, the client wanted a fast turnaround on every mandate without lowering its bar on candidate quality, a balance the team had to hold across all seven roles at once.
-
Sourcing scarce greenfield-manufacturing
experience from a shrunk talent pool
-
Mapping and headhunting seven leadership
roles against a six-month deadline
-
Balancing speed with high candidate-quality
expectations across every mandate at once
We’ve had a great experience working with Nexus.
They took the time to visit our site and truly understand our culture, team dynamics, and specific needs. Their ability to stay agile, quickly adjusting searches as priorities evolved, made a real difference to our start-up organization.
Most importantly, they consistently delivered candidates who aligned with our unique industry requirements. Highly recommend partnering with them if you’re looking for a thoughtful, responsive recruiting team.
